Specialized in implementing IPD, PMP, PRINCE2, and BIM methodologies, as well as LEED and EDGE certifications, with a focus on optimizing planning, design, and construction processes.

I have led high-complexity, internationally relevant projects, including mixed-use developments, high-rise buildings exceeding 50 floors, luxury resorts and hotels, and institutional, commercial, and residential projects. My portfolio exceeds 2 million m² of designed projects.

From the Design Management division at Construcciones Planificadas, I led the comprehensive development of projects. Beyond architectural oversight, I integrated regulatory, technical MEP, and sustainability requirements across residential, hospitality, and mixed-use developments, applying BIM, PMI methodologies, and advanced design-management strategies.
I developed corporate design manuals and standards, along with dynamic data and resource dashboards that enabled the simultaneous management of more than 1 million square meters of designed projects.
During my role as Design Manager at CPSA, I led this project, an icon of contemporary luxury design conceived by renowned international firms such as TAHR, Studio Gronda, Robert Trent Jones II, and EGIS.
The Ritz-Carlton Reserve Cotton Bay stands out for its high technical complexity, shaped by its geographical conditions and the demanding Marriott brand standards. The coordination among international specialists enabled exceptional levels of design quality and constructability.
Business unit created to lead architecture and interior design projects in partnership with Hitos Urbanos and strategic allies, investors, and VIP clients. The purpose is to deliver a high-standard design offering with a unique spatial identity tailored to each client.
Representative projects such as Sociedad de Cirugía Ocular (Main Headquarters), Concentrix T90, Mercado del Chicó, Bodytech Platino, the Colpensiones Headquarters, and the residential development El Abra, among others.
I also led the design management of notable hospitality projects such as Hotel Ermita Tribute by Marriott (Cartagena), Hotel Sirenis (San Andrés), and Residence Inn by Marriott (Bogotá).
The Bodytech Platino project was a special commission that allowed us to redefine the brand’s spatial identity, creating dynamic environments aligned with its philosophy of service excellence.
One of the most significant experiences of my career. I managed the design contract for this iconic mixed-use and high-rise project, with more than 250,000 square meters of development for ARPRO / EllisDon.
I had the privilege of working alongside Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners (London) and Giancarlo Mazzanti, as well as leading firms such as ARUP, AECOM, and P&D.
I coordinated the adaptation of international designs to local regulations, ensuring compliance with technical and sustainability standards, and positioning ATRIO as an architectural and urban benchmark in Latin America.
I founded Nicolás Díaz Arquitectos to meet the growing demand for technical management, design, and construction of special projects, integrating architecture, engineering, sustainability, and high-detail finishes.
I represented corporate clients in the administration of design and construction contracts under turnkey modalities, optimizing time, cost, and quality.
During this stage, I led the development of design and construction contracts for technical works under the turnkey model. Notable clients and projects such as AIA, Espacios Urbanos, TENCO, Hitos Urbanos, the CRI – Comprehensive Rehabilitation Center for the Armed Forces (KOICA), the Intercontinental Hotel Cartagena, and the Avianca VIP Lounge at El Dorado International Airport (Bogotá).
The Intercontinental Hotel Cartagena, developed in collaboration with GVA (Mexico) and Salazar Posada Arquitectos, spans more than 200,000 square meters and includes 169 hotel keys, meeting demanding international hospitality standards.
The Avianca VIP Lounge, spanning more than 3,000 square meters, was designed and built in record time in partnership with Saraiva Associados and María Saint. The project integrated the concepts of speed and movement into a contemporary aesthetic that redefined the brand’s corporate identity.
Mixed-use development recognized as the building with the largest constructed area in Latin America (2011). As Interior Architecture Director at Arias Serna Saravia, I led the architectural and interior design of the hotel and residential components of the Trump Ocean Club, the first TRUMP-branded development in the region.
The 77-story project includes 365 hotel keys and more than 1,000 residential units, totaling 252,000 square meters.
Working alongside Hirsch Bedner Associates (HBA) strengthened my focus on detail sensitivity and excellence in execution, values essential in luxury architecture
Tourist resort located in the Bocas del Toro archipelago in Panama. The project consists of 65 vacation villas, each approximately 500 square meters. It was once recognized as the largest-scale development in the country. I led the Master Plan process and the full technical and architectural design scope for Pillar Construction Co., a U.S. developer focused on Caribbean investments.
Luxury residential project for a private client. Designed and built in 2013, the project uses noble materials to convey a sense of tranquility and understated elegance.
